Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is working with a key Nottingham client to recruit a Controls Engineer (Programming / Commissioning). The role offers £48,000 - £55,000, training, progression, hybrid working and a company bonus.

You will design, develop and program control software for PLCs from scratch, with exposure to Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi and Schneider systems, and you will support on-site commissioning and client liaison.

Qualifications

• Experience programming or commissioning PLCs.
• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi or Schneider PLCs.
• Ability to work on a hybrid schedule with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

Are you a Controls Engineer with experience programming or commissioning PLCs, looking to join an industry-leading company offering a varied and autonomous position where you can take ownership of projects from concept through to completion?

In this role you will be responsible for designing, developing, and programming control software; specifically using Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Schneider PLCs. Duties may include liaising with clients taking initial specifications, writing software, fault finding and testing, and assisting with commissioning on site. The role is hybrid, with some travel required across a local patch for client visits
