Controls Engineer – Gas & Steam Turbines

Opportunity Overview
We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support a series of major energy infrastructure projects across Europe. This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in turbine control systems and a hands-on approach to commissioning and troubleshooting in live operational environments. The position offers a high-impact opportunity to contribute to key power generation assets across multiple European locations.
Key Responsibilities
Commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting of turbine control systems
Supporting startup and performance testing of both gas and steam turbines
Implementing and refining control logic based on specific project needs
Integrating and managing industrial communication networks such as Fieldbus (preferred)
Collaborating with on-site mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams
Maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
Candidate Profile
Proven experience with advanced control systems for gas and/or steam turbines
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities in field-based environments
Solid understanding of industrial protocols and communication systems (e.g., Fieldbus, Modbus, Profibus)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to document technical work clearly and effectively
Flexible and responsive to changing site conditions and project demands
Must hold EU nationality (due to regulatory and mobility requirements across European sites)
