Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Engineers

CDS Engineers support data center building automation systems, such as Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). Responsibilities include deploying and servicing these systems to maintain data center health. You may oversee deployment for new data centers, upgrade existing facilities, or support colocated centers with Amazon hardware. Collaboration with teams across Amazon and vendor management are key aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deploy data center controls on time, managing vendors effectively to ensure minimal defects at Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO).
  2. Deliver projects to upgrade data center automation systems.
  3. Provide support to diagnose and resolve issues like Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), and other operational events.
  4. Meet predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  5. Implement initiatives to improve data center efficiency and operational procedures.
Qualifications
  • Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.

The Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team ensures the health of AWS data centers through deployment and servicing of control systems. Qualifications

  • Experience with control system deployment, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
  • Experience in critical environments such as data centers or similar facilities.
  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric), EPMS, and industrial protocols (BACnet, Modbus).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
