Job summary

A UK-based manufacturing company in Liverpool is seeking a Controls Engineer to design and develop control systems for manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering or automation, alongside at least 3 years of experience with PLCs and CAD. Proficiency with Siemens systems and good communication skills are essential. This role offers a salary of circa £50,000 - £60,000 and hybrid working options.

Qualifications

Role: Controls Engineer
Location: Liverpool
Type: Permanent (Hybrid working available)
Salary: Circa £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

A UK based manufacturing company are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Controls Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Degree, HND or an equivalent Electrical engineering or Automation qualification
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with PLC's and CAD
  • Good PLC, HMI & SCADA knowledge & experience - ideally Siemens (S7, TIA Portal) but others will be considered such as Allen Bradley
  • Panel design experience ideally working with EPlan 8 or AutoCAD
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
The Controls Engineer role will involve:
  • Designing & developing control systems for manufacturing equipment - working mainly with Siemens systems
  • Developing electrical designs using Eplan software
  • Ensure work complies with industry standards such as ATEX
  • Liaising with customers & other departments to ensure requirements are being met
  • Ensuring health & safety regulations are being adhered to
