This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative R&D team, working on cutting-edge automation and control systems that contribute to the development of life-changing medical technology.

As a Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimising control systems, ensuring seamless integration into high-performance medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Control & Instrumentation engineering expertise to multidisciplinary R&D teams.
  • Develop and implement PLC HMI, motion control, vision systems, and instrumentation solutions.
  • Research, test, and integrate new technologies into future product developments.
  • Optimise and characterise equipment performance through advanced control techniques.
  • Contribute to the full product lifecycle, from concept through to manufacturing.

Role Requirements:

  • HNC or higher qualification in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering.
  • Strong experience with PLC programming, HMI, Motion Control, and Vision Systems.
  • Knowledge of PID control systems, instrumentation, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience in an R&D environment, with a creative and problem-solving mindset.
  • Additional experience in databases, electronics, and electrical systems is desirable.
