Controls and Instrumentation Engineer

The COMPANY

The ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Controls/Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer experienced with Siemens S7 PLCs to join a successful and expanding organization. Due to growth, they now require an additional controls engineer. The main responsibility will be programming Siemens S7 PLCs. The role also involves:

1. Designing and programming PLC software
2. Reviewing project files and confirming Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls scope
3. Developing P&ID diagrams
4. Preparing Instrument Data, Electrical drives (VSD), and MCC data sheets
5. Reviewing vendor quotes
6. Producing wiring schematics and connection diagrams
7. Preparing BOMs
8. Preparing PLC/DCS I/O lists

The PERSON

The ideal candidate will be an intelligent and dynamic individual eager to develop their career within this progressive organization. Requirements include:

1. Experience programming Siemens S7 PLCs
2. Education in a relevant discipline (Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering)
3. Experience in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering
4. Controls knowledge
5. Competence in LV electrical circuit and panel design
6. Familiarity with P&ID diagrams
7. Proficiency in AutoCAD
