Job summary

Samuel Frank Associates Ltd in Sheffield is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design, configure and develop PLC and SCADA software for diverse process-control projects. The role offers a permanent position with a clear path for progression in a collaborative, expert team.

Key responsibilities for the Control Systems Engineer:

• Design, configure and develop PLC and SCADA software from scratch.
• Deliver full project lifecycle – from concept through to commissioning.
• Produce detailed specifications and design documentation.
• Test and commission systems safely in operational environments.
• Work on an approximate 85%/15% office-to-site split (regional sites, very occasional overnight staying away)

Requirements for the successful Control Systems Engineer:

• Strong experience in PLC programming and SCADA development.
• Proven ability to deliver projects from start to finish.
• Ideally degree-qualified with 5+ years’ relevant experience.
• Previous experience working for a system integrator is highly desirable.
• UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
