Job summary

Samuel Frank Associates Ltd is recruiting a Control Systems Engineer for Cheshire-based projects across utilities, process, manufacturing and nuclear sectors. You will design, configure and develop PLC and SCADA software and deliver projects from concept to commissioning.

You will join a growing system integrator with a strong order book and a culture focused on people development, offering exposure to diverse projects and opportunities to gain Chartered Engineer status.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in PLC programming and SCADA development.
• Proven ability to deliver projects from start to finish.
• Ideally degree-qualified with 5+ years’ relevant experience.
• Previous experience working for a system integrator is highly desirable.
• UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and develop PLC and SCADA software from scratch.
• Deliver full project lifecycle – from concept through to commissioning.
• Produce detailed specifications and design documentation.
• Test and commission systems safely in operational environments.
• Work on an approximate 85%/15% office-to-site split (regional sites, very occasional overnight staying away).
