Controls Engineer / Control System Engineer / PLC Engineer / Automation Engineer
required to join a manufacturer of machinery that specialises in building and repairing motors and you will be responsible for designing and starting up controls systems for our machines.

Responsibilities:
- Design control system for our machines from specifications provided by clients and our machine designers.
- Select and size the electrical components.
- Use Solidworks to make layout drawings and electrical schematics.
- Finalize Bill of Materials, and component selection for purchasing and manufacturing departments.
- Assist with installation of the controls on the machine and start-up of the machine in our factory.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust project timelines to make sure all design work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Perform Controller Programming using Ladder Logic and/or Structured Text where applicable.
- The company works primarily with Mitsubishi, but other manufacturer products may be used if specified by the end-customer.
- Provide support to the manufacturing department during the building and installation process, ensuring machines are built according to design specifications.
- Collaborate with the machine designers and with Manufacturing.
- Manage project documentation, ensuring compliance with company standards and client expectations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated success in designing control and wiring systems.
- A working knowledge of electrical controls and control circuits, including component wiring and the ability to size and select components.
- Experience with PLC’s required. Experience with PC’s and other control system & programming is helpful.
- Ability to carry out the orderly execution of a proposed project plan.
- Willingness to travel to visit clients to review applications and support installations.
Education/Experience:
- Five (5) years of experience in designing and installing control systems.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks.
- Experience managing design projects (2-3 years preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
