Your Role as the Electrical Control Systems Engineer

You will play a vital part in delivering technical solutions for both internal and client-facing projects. Supporting the Lead Automation, Controls & Electrical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for hands-on involvement in all project phases—from concept through to commissioning and in-service support

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Control Systems Engineer

  • Provide technical support in Electrical, Automation, and Instrumentation across projects.
  • Contribute to the full engineering lifecycle: concept development, prototyping, implementation, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, suppliers, and team members.
  • Uphold the values of simplicity, clarity, and integrity in all interactions.

Essential Skills & Experience of the Electrical Control Systems Engineer

  • Background in Electrical, Automation, Controls or Instrumentation engineering.
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and electrical engineering.
  • Ability to specify and commission electrical control panels and systems.
  • PLC programming skills (IEC 61131-3).
  • Experience with actuators, servo drives, sensors, and motion control systems.
  • Degree-qualified (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
