Job Description:

Vigilant has a new vacancy for a Controller, to join our busy head office based in Dumfries.

This opportunity is a result of continued growth and success of our business, which is fast becoming one of the leading brands within our sector.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Full clean UK Driving licence essential
  • Front line Security Guarding or Door Supervision SIA licence Desirable however training can be provided to the right candidate
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office package including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Candidate must be flexible
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in the English language
  • Must be able to work as part of a team

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing and supervising operations staff and rosters of key areas
  • Administer electronic time and attendance system
  • Monitor patrol equipment and performance
  • Key holding and alarm response
  • Participate and advise in development of staff and strategic planning
  • Monitor and oversee contingency planning of manpower
  • To manage personnel in line with company Health & Safety procedures
  • Collect, disseminate, and distribute to operational managers, all information regarding operational issues, which require immediate attention. Expedite follow up action as required to resolve such problems
  • Driving duties may be required
  • Addressing and dealing with complaints
  • Coordinates with other departments to integrate and update all data required for internal systems and processes
  • Ensure staff hours are manged in line with the European working time directive
