An established industry player is seeking skilled Electrical/Power Systems engineers to join their elite Control Engineers team. This is an exciting time to join National Grid's Transmission National Control Centre (TNCC) where you can really make a difference and be part of an expert team responsible for the real-time operation of the high voltage electricity transmission system.
We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring timely delivery of the work that is planned on the network across England and Wales, as well as reacting swiftly and safely to faults and events such as storms and wildfires.
Due to rapid growth and our ambitions for NetZero, we are offering multiple opportunities to join our elite team of Control Engineers.
Playing a pivotal role, you'll:

As one of our team, you'll have a fantastic opportunity to train at our Global Technical Training Centre of Excellence - the only one of its kind in the UK. We'll offer you a comprehensive Control Room based training package that will support your journey to achieving one or more of the industry recognised National Grid Control Person authorisations.
Initially, you'll be based at our control centre at Warwick with a potential option to move to our West Midlands control centre at a later date once constructed.

We are looking for skilled Electrical/Power Systems engineers who have the potential to work under pressure in a process orientated environment. You'll have the ability to remain calm and focused on the task at hand, whilst working under pressure, and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
You should also be able to demonstrate at least one of the following:
Depending on skills, capabilities and experience a competitive salary of £45,600 - £65,000 per annum, with excellent prospects for further career promotions.
As the role requires you to work on a shift rota pattern (hours between 7am to 7pm and currently 1 weekend in 4) published well in advance to allow for work-life balance, you would receive a shift allowance of 10.4%. If you work the full shift rota to include night shifts, you would receive the higher shift allowance of 26%.
