Job description

Mitie has a great opportunity at Westquay Shopping Centre in Southampton. We are looking for an experienced Control Room Assistant to join the team on site. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off with an hourly rate of £13.59 working 42 hours a week. You will report directly to the Duty Controller.

Within this role, you will be expected to:

1. Ensure CCTV is effectively monitored across the whole scheme, escalating issues as necessary.
2. Escalate incidents to the relevant personnel.
3. Highlight Health and Safety issues and report to Tech Services.
4. Communicate clearly and effectively with all departments.
5. Monitor security entry and exit to the service yard.
6. Assist the Duty Controller in updating Control Room records.
7. Assist in issuing Contractor ID passes and keys.
8. Assist customers and retailers with their enquiries via telephone.
9. Direct Security officers on the mall to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for customers, retailers, and contractors.
10. Be flexible to pick up overtime on the other team.
11. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

1. Literate and numerate.
2. Flexibility to work shifts on a 24-hour rota.
3. Knowledge of CCTV operations, including Data Protection.
4. SIA Security CCTV License is essential.
