Are you a hands-on technician with strong experience in building and wiring electrical control panels? We're looking for a practical, detail-oriented individual to join a growing team that designs, assembles, and commissions complex automation systems used globally.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge who enjoys working as part of a high-performing engineering team — with structured training and development provided.

Basildon, Essex | Permanent, Full-Time | £35,000 – £38,000 DOE

Are you a hands-on technician with strong experience in building and wiring electrical control panels? We're looking for a practical, detail-oriented individual to join a growing team that designs, assembles, and commissions complex automation systems used globally.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Assembling and wiring electrical control panels from technical diagrams

  • Verifying all components are present before starting a build

  • Cutting panel holes and assembling metal housings

  • Mounting electrical and electronic components

  • Installing completed panels onto machines

  • Identifying errors, marking up feedback, and collaborating with engineers and technicians

  • Supporting commissioning and testing activities

? What We're Looking For:
  • Level 3 qualification or higher in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering

  • Proven experience building and wiring control panels

  • Experience working in a capital equipment, automation, or manufacturing environment

  • Ability to interpret diagrams and work independently or as part of a team

  • Understanding of PLCs and HMIs is beneficial

  • Comfortable working in a project-based, cross-functional team environment

Nice to Have (But Not Essential):
  • Commissioning experience

  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g. pharmaceutical, explosive, or hazardous areas)

  • Salary between £35,000 and £38,000 (dependent on experience)
