As an ICA Engineer, you'll be responsible for the installation, modification, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical and control systems across industrial and water sector sites across the South West. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality automation solutions - supporting everything from pumping stations to treatment facilities.

You'll be involved with a wide range of systems including:

  1. Motor control centres (MCCs) and bespoke control panels
  2. PLCs, HMIs, and telemetry systems
  3. Analogue and digital signal processing
  4. Industrial networking
  5. Electrical installations in line with BS7671

Key Responsibilities of the Instrumentation, Control & Automation Engineer include:
  1. Commission and maintain control systems and instrumentation on industrial process equipment (pumps, motors, dosing units, flow/pressure/temp sensors, etc.)
  2. Work from a range of technical documentation (wiring diagrams, P&IDs, schematics)
  3. Collaborate with internal project teams and clients to ensure safe, efficient, and technically sound project delivery
  4. Provide support throughout the project lifecycle—from site surveys to handover

What We're Looking For:
  1. Strong foundation in Electrical or Control Engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred)
  2. Working knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems
  3. Familiarity with PLCs, motor starters, VSDs, and industrial control networks
  4. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (IET)
  5. CSCS or ECS certification
  6. Experience in following health & safety best practices

What's in it for You:
  1. £45,000-£60,000 depending on experience
  2. Company vehicle and fuel card
  3. Ongoing training and career development support

If you're ready to work on technically challenging, high-impact projects and grow within a company that values hands-on engineering expertise - we'd love to hear from you.
