Description
The Control Electrical team at Winnington are seeking an experienced electrical, control & instrumentation maintenance technician to work as part of a small team to provide engineering support within our manufacturing plant which includes both reactive and preventative maintenance, repairs and overhauls.
The role is Monday to Friday (7.30am to 3.30pm)
What will I be doing?
· Installation, maintenance, overhaul and repair of instrumentation, electrical and packaging equipment as an individual or part of a team, in a way that minimises downtime and maximises production.
· Assisting in the diagnosis of failures, identify root causes, suggesting and implementing improvements designed to eliminate recurrences and improve reliability.
· Working to high personal standards of safety awareness encouraging others to work accordingly in line with company and statutory requirements
Our ideal candidate?
Is someone who has a ‘can do’ attitude and strong a commitment to working safely, who understands that equipment availability is a priority for a 24 x7 manufacturing process.
- You will be time served with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a control or electrical discipline and have worked within a chemical or industrial work environment.
- Have experience of complex packing equipment ideally in a GMP environment.
- Trained to BS7671 (18th edition) and EAWR 1989 and possess knowledge and experience of a wide range of industrial control and electrical equipment / systems.
- A full UK driving licence is a requirement to be considered for this position.
Further training may be made available for the right candidate, if they are not yet fully dual skilled.
