Job summary

Yorkshire Building Society is seeking a Control Automation & Improvement Lead to shape the future of its control environment. Qualifications

• Experience improving, redesigning or automating controls within risk, assurance, audit, operations, technology or transformation environments.
• Strong understanding of control design, risk management concepts and control frameworks within a regulated environment.
• Experience identifying inefficiencies, simplifying processes and implementing sustainable solutions that improve control effectiveness and operational performance.
• Experience using data, analytics, dashboards or technology-enabled solutions to improve monitoring, insight and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead Control Improvement and Automation: identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate controls.
• Embed Control by Design: ensure controls are integrated into processes, systems and customer journeys from the outset.
• Develop Automated Monitoring: design and implement automated indicators, dashboards and monitoring capabilities.
• Support Continuous Assurance: partner with the Control Testing team to automate testing and enable data-driven assurance.
• Improve Processes and Controls: analyse results and incidents to identify root causes and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with Technology Teams: work with technology teams to develop automated workflows and monitoring solutions.
