Job summary

Monzo seeks a Senior Controls Product Manager to lead the Controls Product & Enablement team. You will own risk lifecycles, prototype automated workflows, and drive AI-enabled controls, working across Technology, Data, Product and Risk & Compliance to ship safe, scalable solutions.

You’ll be hands-on, building MVPs, defining requirements, and guiding two data/automation specialists while collaborating with cross-functional teams to reduce manual risk friction.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience prototyping and building MVPs.
• Ability to design and prototype with low-code tools and AI integrations.
• Strong understanding of risk concepts (control design, RC SAs, issue management).

Responsibilities

• Own the Controls Product Roadmap: vision, strategy and backlog for internal risk products.
• Prototype and build automated workflows, API integrations and low-code/no-code solutions.
• Champion AI adoption across the discipline and experiment with AI/LLMs.
• Design real-time risk intelligence with data-driven alerts for risk owners.
• Drive adoption with intuitive UI/UX and clear enablement for teams.
• Lead delivery with two direct reports and remove blockers without bureaucracy.
• Hands-on with data and automation (SQL, Python, APIs) to build prototypes.
• Think like a PM: prioritize user problems and MVPs for impact.
• Translate risk problems into scalable tech solutions within FS controls.
