Job Description:

ARV Solutions is seeking an experienced timber frame carpenter for the role of Contracts Supervisor. This position involves overseeing timber frame installations across multiple sites in South Wales and South West England. The successful candidate will manage operatives and subcontractors, ensure health and safety standards, and maintain quality control across 3-5 live projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visit sites regularly to monitor progress and ensure standards are met.
  • Induct and manage site operatives and subcontractors.
  • Attend and contribute to site meetings, documenting progress and variations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, including scaffold, slab, and crane lift plans.
  • Maintain quality standards for site handover, ensuring adherence to contract specifications.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Valid CSCS card with a joinery background and extensive timber frame erection experience.
  • Ability to manage and motivate site operatives.
  • Strong communication skills with operatives, clients, and colleagues.
  • Ability to produce clear reports on labour, deliveries, and project variances.
  • Proficiency in reading working drawings.
