Job description

Our client is a scaffolding contractor based in the South East. They are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to cover London and home counties.

My client is searching for an experienced Scaffolding Contracts Manager who can demonstrate experience in a similar role. They are a leading, national scaffolding contractor offering the complete scaffolding service to their clients. The job is based out of their Bristol branch to assist with operations across the South Wales area.

Job description and responsibilities:

  1. To have the ability to carry out supervisor and estimator roles & responsibilities. This can be demonstrated through previous experience.
  2. To take inquiries and respond efficiently, managing customer expectations.
  3. To provide specific risk assessments and method statements prior to commencement of works.
  4. Site surveying/estimating.
  5. Carry out Toolbox Talks on scaffolding.
  6. Assist Accounts with commercial settlements.
  7. Organise labour and logistics for various works on a daily basis, including updating works schedules.
  8. Monitor handover procedures.
  9. Prepare price worksheets for payment of scaffolding work.
  10. Attend weekly/monthly in-house meetings.
  11. Assist with business development.
  12. Always safeguard the company's interests.
  13. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

About the candidate:

  • Previous experience in scaffolding management of small to large industrial, commercial, and domestic projects.
  • Demonstrated previous experience in the scaffolding sector.
  • Must hold a CISRS Advanced card.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety guidelines, including CDM regulations.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and build strong working relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible self-starter with the ability to prioritise.
