A leading Renewable Energy company in the UK is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead EPC contract management. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in engineering or legal discipline, have experience with NEC and FIDIC contracts, and a passion for renewables. This role offers a salary of up to £75,000 plus bonuses and benefits including private health cover and 33 days holiday.

Astute's Renewables Team is exclusively partnering with a leading Renewable Energy EPC in international solar and BESS to recruit a Contracts Manager for its UK arm of the business.

The Contracts Manager role comes with a salary up to 75,000, plus a great benefits package too. I'm also open to hearing from those who prefer remote working as long as you can attend critical office meetings in the South, with site visits across the UK being a pre-requisite when required.

Responsibilities and duties of the Contracts Manager role

Reporting to the Project Management Lead you will:

  • Be the lead when it comes to the management of EPC contracts, as well as other associated service and supply contracts
  • Work in partnership with the legal and procurements professionals within the business to develop framework agreements with key suppliers
  • Consider all aspects of risk management, be the lead with any contractual disputes, escalations and/or claims
  • (Continue to) develop and maintain standards and processes for contract management across EPC projects including KPIs to monitor performance
  • Mentor other staff within the business with contract management understanding and capability
  • Look at continuous development of contracting strategy, ensuring projects are delivered with high quality and cost efficiency


Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering or legal discipline
  • Experience in dealing with NEC and FIDIC contracts
  • Demonstrable experience of satisfying any contractual disputes or claims
  • Working technical knowledge of BESS or Solar is a huge advantage but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence
