To achieve revenue targets set by the company for allocated destinations and take full responsibility for the required product mix, the Contracts Manager we are seeking will be ideally responsible for North Italy, excluding Lombardy and Veneto regions.

Job Title: Contracts Manager – North Italy

Department: Contracting

Location (primary): Italy – home based. Alternatively, London or Palma office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult and agree with the Director of Contracting on specific product requirements.
  • Expand WebBeds portfolio by analyzing market trends in the destination to find new opportunities.
  • Ensure hotels are re-contracted and available for sale within specified deadlines.
  • Organize regular visits to hotels to build and maintain relationships; frequent business trips are required.
  • Consult and agree with the Director of Contracting on ongoing additions to the product.
  • Negotiate and contract rates, special offers, allocations, added-value deals, overrides, and other deals to ensure WebBeds has the best market rates. Lead negotiations to increase booking volume in the destination.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and availability regularly in line with demand.
  • Analyze weekly product/sales reports to identify market trends, revenue, and room night growth opportunities or issues.
  • Advise on preferred partner hotels, negotiate exclusive deals.
  • Address and resolve standard/service level issues with suppliers.
  • Ensure hotels are inspected and details (photos, amenities, etc.) are regularly updated.
  • Assist suppliers with tools and procedures, including demonstrations of the supplier extranet.
  • Assist with group placements as necessary.
  • Manage supplier relationships throughout the contract period, including close-out requests and liaising with relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with Health and Safety team to ensure reports are completed and current.
  • Communicate professionally internally and externally, adhering to corporate guidelines.

Essential Qualifications & Knowledge:

  • Contracting experience within the tourism industry; established relationships in the Italian market.
  • Strong negotiation skills, proactive, dynamic, passionate, team-oriented. Willing to go the extra mile to achieve personal and team results.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with hoteliers.
  • Stakeholder management skills and professional presence.
