Navartis is supporting a Bedford-based groundworks and civil engineering contractor in recruiting a Contracts Manager to oversee 3-4 live residential schemes. You will lead site teams, liaise with clients, and manage resources to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.

The role requires proven contracts management experience in residential groundworks, familiarity with JCT contracts, and willingness to travel across the East Midlands; base in Bedford with site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the residential groundworks sector.
• Experience with JCT contracts.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to plan and deliver multiple projects.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the East Midlands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and monitor progress on all assigned projects.
• Manage and report on project performance against programme and budget.
• Maintain and develop strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Produce monthly progress reports and performance updates for the Operations Director.
• Arrange and coordinate labour, materials, and plant resources.
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with health, safety, and quality standards.

Following a period of sustained growth and successful project delivery, a leading Groundworks and Civil Engineering contractor based in the Bedford area. are expanding their operations team and is seeking a driven Contracts Manager to oversee multiple residential groundworks projects.

The Role

The role will be responsible for managing the operational delivery of 3-4 live projects at any one time, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, and to budget. You will lead site teams, liaise with clients, and coordinate resources to ensure each scheme meets the company's high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and monitor progress on all assigned projects.
• Manage and report on project performance against programme and budget.
• Maintain and develop strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

To be suitable for this Contracts Manager role you will have;

Salary: In the region of £80,000 - £100,000 (depending on experience) plus
