Contracts Manager - Flooring
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire - Package + Car (or allowance) + Benefits
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Base: Primary base office (not hybrid working)
Established in 1969 and still 100% family owned, Hurst Group is a specialist interior fit out and refurbishment contractor.
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to help further develop our flooring division.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previously been employed in the role of Contracts Manager, or similar.
- Be a flexible team player who is self-motivated, honest and reliable.
- Be able to represent the company in a positive manner at all times.
- Have a friendly manner and be able to communicate well with both clients and workforce.
- Have extensive experience of commercial soft flooring installation; knowledge of ceramic tiling would also be advantageous.
- Be well organised and able to organise multiple activities on multiple sites.
- Have good IT skills.
- Be in possession of a full current UK driving licence, and CSCS card. SMSTS qualification would be advantageous.
The role will include:- Giving advice on pricing to Estimators and Surveyors.
- Compiling programmes and managing the workbank.
- Preparing risk assessments and method statements.
- Ensuring that Health and Safety requirements on site are adhered to at all times.
- Sourcing and supervising labour.
- Signing off payment claims from direct and indirectly employed labour.
- Ensuring that the site is adequately supplied with materials, plant and sundries.
- Inspecting areas prior to the commencement of operations.
- Liaising with site management and monitoring progress.
- Ensuring all activities comply with the contract and ensuring extras are identified.
- Checking the quality of completed work and ensuring areas are snagged.
- Ensuring that projects run to time and on budget.
Salary to be negotiated subject to experience, benefits to include a fully expensed company car or car allowance.
