The University of Liverpool is seeking to appoint an industry-leading commercial professional to take up the key role of Contracts Manager (Estates Management).
The University manages a diverse and complex property portfolio, including the main Liverpool City Centre Campus and satellite sites. The Estates and Infrastructure Team, part of Property and Campus Services, maintains buildings and infrastructure across 300 buildings (460,000 m2) on a 255-hectare site, including listed Georgian and Victorian buildings, contemporary structures, and conservation areas. The estate also features complex research laboratories, presenting maintenance challenges. Annually, over 15,000 reactive maintenance work orders are processed via the FM Service Hub.
The ideal candidate will be a commercial professional with significant experience managing NEC and JCT standard forms of contract, including Term Serviced Contracts and supply/specialist services contracts. They should have a strong understanding of procurement, governance, risk, and commercial management. Excellent contract negotiation skills and extensive experience managing the contract lifecycle are essential. The role emphasizes making a difference through collaborative relationships. Candidates from outside the Higher Education sector are welcome.
