Job summary
Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead the Demolition Division across multiple sites in the South West and South Wales. You will own projects from planning through to completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and budget control while mentoring site teams and maintaining strong client relationships.
Essential: SMSTS, SSSTS and a full UK driving licence, plus demonstrable demolition/construction project experience.

- SMSTS qualification.
- SSSTS qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proven experience managing demolition/construction projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day delivery of demolition projects and site teams.
- Producing and reviewing risk assessments, safe systems of work, and method statements.
- Leading health and safety briefings and promoting a positive safety culture.
- Developing Site Supervisors and Operatives.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Monitoring project performance against programme and budget.
- Recruitment, onboarding, and induction of site personnel.
- Resolving operational challenges and project issues.
- Overseeing project administration and compliance documentation.
- Reviewing timesheets and attendance.
