We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to take the lead on delivering a wide range of retrofit and energy-efficiency projects across Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity to drive sustainable change through decarbonisation works that directly impact communities, homes, and carbon reduction goals.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead retrofit contracts from inception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery

  • Plan and manage work programmes, budgets, targets, and operational teams

  • Oversee energy-saving upgrades such as insulation, low-carbon heating, ventilation, and window/door replacements

  • Maintain full compliance with PAS 2030/2035, ECO funding, and all building and safety regulations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, residents, and project stakeholders

  • Manage engineers and subcontractors, providing technical support and ensuring high performance

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor health & safety, quality, and productivity

  • Collaborate with the commercial team to manage costs and ensure reporting deadlines are met



What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • 5+ years' experience managing retrofit, energy efficiency, or construction projects

  • Strong knowledge of PAS 2030/2035, ECO, Building Regulations, and sustainability measures

  • SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safely, and CSCS (Managers) certified

  • Familiarity with temporary works procedures, site admin, and construction drawings

  • Commercially aware with excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Competent in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and PowerProject

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Retrofit Coordinator or Assessor qualification

  • Experience managing M&E systems or heat network projects
