Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a seasoned Pre-Construction Manager for their Birmingham-based work-winning team. The role leads all pre-construction activities across civil engineering and infrastructure opportunities, coordinating with estimating, planning, design, commercial and operations to deliver competitive tenders.

You will shape bid strategies, manage multi-disciplinary bid teams and drive value engineering while ensuring technical compliance and a smooth transition into

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Pre-Construction Manager, Bid Manager, Tender Manager or similar role within civil engineering.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary bid teams across groundworks, RC structures, drainage and major civils projects; familiarity with ECI/PCSA.
• Strong design management, buildability reviews and excellent stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction activities across tender, ECI and PCSA stages.
• Coordinate design development, planning, estimating and methodology.
• Develop winning bid strategies and client requirements.
• Chair bid launch meetings, design reviews and settlement meetings.
• Produce technical submissions and tender documentation.
• Support handover of awarded projects to delivery teams.
