Regional civil engineering contractor seeking an experienced Project / Contracts Manager to join their civil engineering team. The role involves managing multiple schemes within the southern region, primarily Surrey, Hampshire, and Sussex.

They deliver high-profile projects across various sectors. To support current workload and future growth, they offer exciting opportunities for Project / Contracts Managers to work on projects within Highways, Structures, Environmental Agency, Groundworks, and Infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Experience in various civil engineering sectors, including roads/highways
  • HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Must be a team player and able to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Complete projects profitably, meeting client specifications and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Plan resources and resolve shortfalls or over-resourcing effectively and promptly
  • Coordinate with other divisions and manage interfaces
  • Ensure all personnel, including subcontractors, work safely and in accordance with company policies
  • Prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
  • Collaborate with estimating for value engineering and lessons learned to enhance tender quality and competitiveness
  • Deliver projects profitably and on time to build reputation and secure future business
  • Identify new client targets and develop strategies with the Commercial Manager
  • Manage personnel professionally and effectively
