We are currently recruiting for the position of a Contracts Manager to join a building project in Carlow.

Your mission
  1. Overall responsibility for the management of one of the large-scale sites, reporting directly to the Construction Director.
  2. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall delivery of the project, managing a large staff, and ensuring that the client’s requirements are met while maintaining the highest safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  3. The project must be delivered with a focus on sustainability, from design through delivery.
  4. Communicate effectively with both client and design team.
  5. Be the main point of contact for the client, with responsibility for engaging with the client in conjunction with the commercial manager on site commercial decisions.
  6. Provide leadership to the project construction team to ensure works are carried out to the required quality, health & safety, and environmental standards, in full compliance with the planning permission.
  7. Prepare the Project Execution Plan, including contracting strategy, programme, budget, and risk mitigation plan.
  8. Manage the daily operation of the site.
  9. Manage the project budget and contract administration in conjunction with the project quantity surveyor.
  10. Adjust programmes as required to facilitate changes, in conjunction with the project planner/programmer.
  11. Coordinate with the planning/development team to ensure value engineering during the pre-construction stage.
  12. Manage the project design team during construction to ensure coordination of information flow to the site teams.
  13. Coordinate key project stakeholders, including statutory authorities and liaison with JV project partners if necessary.
  14. Implement best practices in project controls, performance management, and project reporting.
Who are we looking for?
  1. Degree or higher diploma in engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 10 years’ experience working on large-scale complex projects with multiple phased handovers.
  3. Experience delivering large-scale projects within tight timeframes on live sites or campuses.
  4. Experience with precast frame installation.
  5. Excellent working knowledge of the latest building regulations and certification standards.
