This role will be within our Distribution and connections division. As one of the largest Independent Connection Providers (ICP’s) in the UK, we support distribution network operations across infrastructure.
Our team installs and maintains distribution networks and ensures reliable connections for customers. carrying out electrical planned work, customer connections and network reinforcement.
We're expanding our portfolio with UK Power Networks and seeking a Contracts Manager to lead cabling and other exciting new workstreams. This is a standout opportunity for someone currently in a Contracts Manager role, ready to embrace growth and carve out fresh personal and professional successes.
What you'll be doing?
- Spearhead project delivery across diverse infrastructure workstreams
- Build client relationships to secure ongoing and future works
- Represent our company in high-level discussions with clients and stakeholders
- Lead bidding activity, working closely with estimating and tender teams
- Provide robust commercial and programme support
- Guide and grow your team, ensuring delivery excellence
- Champion innovation, compliance, safety, and quality across all projects
- Support framework-based delivery and apply knowledge of NEC contracts
What you’ll bring- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Contracts Manager within a contracting environment
- Proven record in securing and delivering large-scale capital projects
- Strong leadership capabilities and a demonstrable ability to build and manage effective teams
- Commercially astute with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Extensive experience in capital delivery programmes (minimum five years)
- Sound understanding of engineering policy, procedures, and relevant legislation
- Effective communicator with robust stakeholder management skills
- Ability to establish, monitor, and improve delivery processes
- Commitment to promoting inclusive and diverse working environments
- HV power engineering and cabling experience
- HNC/Degree in Engineering or NEBOSH Safety Management qualification (preferred but not mandatory)
- Full UK Driving Licence (travel to project sites will be required)
