My client is a leading regional house builder known for delivering premium quality homes to an NHBC 5★ standard across the Midlands, Yorkshire, Northwest and Northeast. As they continue to expand, they’re seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple developments across West, South, and East Yorkshire.

The Role:

As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of up to five or six live developments at any given time, ensuring each site adheres to the company’s high standards in quality, health and safety, and programme delivery. You will work closely with Site Managers, Project Teams, and Senior Management to ensure that developments are built on time, within budget, and to NHBC 5★ standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the delivery of 5-6 live housing developments simultaneously across located sites in Yorkshire
• Ensuring all sites meet NHBC 5★ quality standards and company expectations
• Supporting, mentoring, and managing Site Managers to maintain high-quality standards, programme adherence, and Health & Safety compliance
• Driving build programmes and ensuring key project milestones are met.
• Ensuring all developments are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest levels of customer satisfaction
• Managing Health & Safety compliance across multiple projects
• Attending progress meetings with Site Managers, the Construction Director, and wider project teams
• Working closely with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain efficient site operations
• Identifying and addressing any potential issues or delays before they impact project delivery
• Maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, local authorities, and external consultants

What They’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in residential house building, or an experienced Senior Site Manager ready for the next step in their career
• A track record of delivering high-quality housing developments to NHBC 5★ standards
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to oversee multiple sites effectively
• Experience managing developments of 80+ units across several sites
• Pride in the Job Awards and Site Seals of Excellence are highly desirable
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and compliance
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold Card preferred), and First Aid at Work certification
