Job summary

A leading construction recruitment agency in South Yorkshire is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee site teams and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate must have the SMSTS and CSCS certifications, First Aid certification, and an NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management. With at least 2 years of experience in contracts management, expertise in new build housing projects, and strong communication skills, you will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

  • SMSTS certification required.
  • CSCS certification required.
  • First Aid certification required.
  • NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management required.
  • Valid driving license is essential.

Job Duties:

  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Reporting progress to senior management

Required Qualifications:

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
  • First Aid certification
  • NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management
  • Valid driving licence

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Contracts Management within the construction industry
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Site Management background with housing developer(s)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expertise in new build housing projects
  • Strong understanding of contracts management processes
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate site teams

Working Conditions:

  • Expected to work on-site at construction locations in South Yorkshire
  • Full-time hours
