Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a Contracts Manager for a three-month temporary role within our Property team. The postholder will oversee externally delivered planned works and maintenance contracts to ensure safety, compliance, and value for money.

You will monitor contractor performance, conduct quality checks, manage documentation and liaise with tenants and internal teams to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing contracts for housing, property services or construction.
• Understanding of procurement processes and contract administration.
• Strong communication and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee externally delivered planned works and maintenance contracts.
• Monitor performance, quality checks and contractor handovers.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and budget adherence.
• Coordinate with contractors, tenants, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain project records and support Clerk of Works team as referenced.

Job Title: Contracts Manager (Temporary)

About the Role / Job Summary:

I am currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager for a Property team. The postholder will manage externally delivered planned works and maintenance contracts ensuring safety, compliance with specifications, budget adherence, and alignment with tenant expectations and regulatory requirements. This will be for around a 3 month contract and to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee contractor performance and monitor site progress.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections, managing handovers effectively.
• Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Liaise with contractors, tenants, and internal teams to resolve issues and support high levels of customer care.
• Collaborate with a team of four officers responsible for Clerk of Works duties.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in construction, housing, or property services.
• Practical knowledge of contract management and procurement.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office/Teams.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Education Requirements:

• HND level or equivalent in a relevant technical/building discipline.
• Relevant professional qualification or membership (e.g., RICS, RIAS, CIOB) is desirable.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience managing contractors and delivering planned works.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and technical specifications.
• Ability to maintain documentation and deliver value for money.
