EQUANS is recruiting for a Contracts Manager R&M based in Seaham. This is a permanent full-time role working 38.5 hours per week. The package includes a competitive salary, car allowance, bonus, and benefits.

Overview

The Contracts Manager oversees the successful delivery of responsive projects to clients, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to quality standards, meeting KPIs. Initially, the role manages Anchor responsive works by ARPS, with potential to expand to other clients. The role involves managing multiple clients, coordinating project teams, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver responsive works, meeting all client KPIs and commitments.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for efficient project delivery.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, resources, and budgets.
  • Identify risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on project performance.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Manage exclusions from the PPP contract efficiently.
Complexity

This role involves high complexity in problem-solving and decision-making, including:

  • Managing project risks and delivery issues.
  • Developing project management strategies.
  • Handling conflicting priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Resolving complex issues and negotiations.

Higher-level problems include:

  • Complex project delivery issues requiring senior management.
  • Client disputes or negotiations.
  • Critical delays or cost overruns needing urgent resolution.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in construction project management or related field.
  • Qualifications in construction management, Civil Engineering, or similar.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, to quality standards.
  • Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Masters in construction management or related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications like PRINCE2, APMP.
  • Experience in UK construction industry.
  • Familiarity with industry software like MS Project, Primavera.
