Job summary

GBR Recruitment Ltd, on behalf of a leading regional construction company, seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee built-environment projects across industrial, commercial, housing and refurbishments. You will manage main contractor and subcontractor contracts, ensuring OTIF delivery within budget and to a high quality standard.

The role requires strong communication with site teams, suppliers and clients, with responsibility for programmes, procurement, progress reporting and quality

Qualifications

• Experience delivering diverse construction contracts (main contractor and sub-contractor) across multiple project types.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver OTIF.
• Knowledge of ISO quality procedures and value engineering considerations.

Responsibilities

• Create contract build programmes, procurement of subcontractor labour/services and material schedules.
• Issue project/contracts progress reports to the wider SMT/trades and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Buyers and Health & Safety Manager.
• Deliver build projects OTIF, within budget and to required quality standards.
• Ensure health & safety regulations are maintained at all times.
• Lead meetings with customers and internal departments.
• Manage ISO quality assurance procedures for contracts.
• Contribute to value engineering to protect and improve margins on projects.

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a leading construction company based in commutable distance of Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire & South Yorkshire, recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to work on varying built environment projects worth from 100K's to multiple M's.

You will be a contracts management professional who is used to delivering build projects OTIF to a set budget & to a high level of quality finish.

You will ideally have main contractor & sub-contractor contract management experience, plus you will have led various types of projects, across industrial builds, commercial builds, housing, maintenance & refurbs etc. (several types)

You must be used to successfully project managing multiple projects at one time.

Duties:

• Putting together contract build programmes, procurement of subcontractor labour / services and putting together material schedules
• Issuing of project / contracts progress reports to the wider SMT / trades
• Working hand in hand with the wider project team including; Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Buyers and Health & Safety Manager
• Delivering build projects OTIF, to budget & to the quality required
• Ensuring that all health & safety regulations are maintained at all times
• Leading meetings with customers & internal departments
• Management of I.S.O quality assurance procedures for contracts
• Playing a key role in value engineering and construction methods to ensure that profit margins are achieved / exceeded on all projects

Attributes:

• Have a SMSTS and CSCS card (ideally)
• A track record of successfully delivering diverse construction projects.
• A strong business relationship builder with customers and suppliers
• Excellent communicator at all levels (inc. board level)
• Industrial, Commercial, Housing build experience
