Job summary

GBR Recruitment Ltd, in partnership with a leading construction company, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee varied built environment projects worth from hundreds of thousands to multi‑million pounds. The role requires OTIF delivery, budget adherence and high-quality finishes across industrial, commercial, housing, and refurb projects.

You will ideally hold SMSTS and CSCS (preferred) and have a proven track record managing diverse contracts with strong client and supplier

Qualifications

• Proven track record in delivering diverse construction projects.
• Experience with main contractor and sub-contractor contracts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Develop contract build programmes and procurement schedules.
• Issue progress reports to SMT and trades.
• Coordinate with Site Managers, QS, Buyers and HSE Manager.
• Deliver projects OTIF, within budget and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Lead customer and internal meetings.
• Oversee ISO quality assurance procedures for contracts.
• Contribute to value engineering to maintain margins.

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a leading construction company based in commutable distance of Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire & South Yorkshire, recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to work on varying built environment projects worth from 100K's to multiple M's.

You will be a contracts management professional who is used to delivering build projects OTIF to a set budget & to a high level of quality finish.

You will ideally have main contractor & sub-contractor contract management experience, plus you will have led various types of projects, across industrial builds, commercial builds, housing, maintenance & refurbs etc. (several types)

You must be used to successfully project managing multiple projects at one time.

Duties:

• Putting together contract build programmes, procurement of subcontractor labour / services and putting together material schedules
• Issuing of project / contracts progress reports to the wider SMT / trades
• Working hand in hand with the wider project team including; Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Buyers and Health & Safety Manager
• Delivering build projects OTIF, to budget & to the quality required
• Ensuring that all health & safety regulations are maintained at all times
• Leading meetings with customers & internal departments
• Management of I.S.O quality assurance procedures for contracts
• Playing a key role in value engineering and construction methods to ensure that profit margins are achieved / exceeded on all projects

Attributes:

• Have a SMSTS and CSCS card (ideally)
• A track record of successfully delivering diverse construction projects.
• A strong business relationship builder with customers and suppliers
• Excellent communicator at all levels (inc. board level)
• Industrial, Commercial, Housing build experience
