Overview

A long-established building contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a diverse range of fit out and refurbishment works for public sector and private sector clients. Project values range from £100,000 to £5 million and are primarily based in the North West. However, as the company operates nationally, you will be expected to travel to sites across the UK as required.

What You'll Do
  • Manage multiple construction contracts from pre-construction through to final handover.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee site managers and ensure effective day-to-day site operations.
  • Maintain close communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and monitor project programmes, progress reports, and cost forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
  • Visit sites regularly (predominantly in the North West, with some national travel as required).
What You'll Need
  • Proven experience in a similar role with a Main Contractor
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract administration knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Sound understanding of construction methods, technical specifications, and building regulations
  • Full, clean UK driver's licence
