Job Title: Contracts Manager

You'll join our Basingstoke Principal Projects Division, where we undertake projects valued between £5m and £15m. Specialising in Grade II Listed properties, refurbishments and contemporary new builds, each project requires meticulous management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • You'll continually review with the project Director and implement project strategy by making necessary interventions, reducing complexity and improving efficiencies in the operational delivery of the project.
  • You'll assist the project Director in preparing Project Execution Plans (PEP's) in line with changing demands of the project, collaborating with the team and communicating and implementing agreed plans, monitoring and tracking performance, updating as required.
  • You'll provide comprehensive external and internal reporting to meet the requirements of the contract and internal process.
  • You'll proactively manage project documentation e.g. IRS, Procurement, CDP tracker, ensuring all documentation produced by the team is consistent and compliant.
  • You'll periodically be required to contribute (on the direction of your Divisional Manager/Project Manager/Director), proactively engage in pre-construction activities as part of bidding for new projects.

Qualifications
  • You will be managing an internal project team, typically less than 5 people with 2-3 direct reports, where you can evidence collaborative and effective people management and leadership skills.
  • You will be coordinating with professional consultants, working collaboratively to direct, influence and manage the team.
  • You will have an understanding of managing complex project information with extensive change control requirements.
  • You will have awareness of the standard pre-construction processes and relevant SHE regulations.
  • You will have comprehensive technical and construction knowledge.
  • You will have experience in programming software (Elecosoft power project preferred).
