About the opportunity
The Decommissioning Unit delivers a range of high risk/ high value, outcome-based reward projects with innovative commercial arrangements or projects requiring a major/complex programme management skill set.
Operating within the Decommissioning Business Unit, the PPP framework is a portfolio of complex construction projects with a potential value of £7bn to be undertaken across a 20-year timescale in support of the Sellafield decommissioning programme.
We are now seeking an experienced Contract Manager, with Quantity Surveying background. This position will be based in one of our offices in Birchwood Park or Cumbria. Candidates based in other locations, who are willing to travel when required, will also be considered.
Position Summary:
This role requires a Contract Manager with a Quantity Surveying background. It will be day-to-day based within one or multiple project(s) within one of our major nuclear Client programmes. There is a requirement to work from our Client premises as & when required, from our offices, & home working. This role will report to our internal Commercial Lead.
The Contract Manager would be responsible for supporting the Project(s) in delivering the Contract Administration and maintaining the relationship with the Project(s) and Subcontractors, for the relevant contracts.
The Contracts will be managed in accordance with our company and Client Management systems and governance. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance to procedures and contractual terms and conditions to secure delivery with certainty. It will have key interface with Project(s), our Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Resourcing and Security Teams.
