Job description

Contracts Manager - London - Permanent - Refurbishment Specialist

Location: Fitzrovia base with Central London site visits

Permanent Salary: 75,000 - 80,000 + Travel Paid + package

Start Date: ASAP

The Role:

We're looking for a Contracts Manager experienced in residential refurbishment. Projects range from £200k to £1m across London, including listed buildings and modern refurbishments. Your responsibilities will include managing subcontractors, keeping projects on schedule, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Your Day-to-Day:
  1. Programming & Progress Monitoring: Ensuring projects run smoothly.
  2. Subcontractor Coordination: Managing trades effectively.
  3. Contract Administration (JCT): Handling RFIs, variations, and paperwork.
  4. Liaising with Surveyors, Architects & Asset Managers: Communicating effectively to coordinate project details.
  5. Overseeing Structural and Internal Works: Managing MEP, fire safety, drylining, and ceilings.
  6. Maintaining Quality & H&S Standards: Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 and BSA 2023 regulations.
What We're Looking For:
  • 10+ years in construction with at least 3 years managing London projects.
  • Strong internal refurbishment experience.
  • Experience managing projects between £500k and £1m.
  • Willingness to assist with estimating and defect checks.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness preferred.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and navigational skills.
