We are seeking an experienced and proactive Contracts Manager to oversee multiple refurbishment projects, with values up to £6 million. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of social housing and education refurbishment projects, ensuring adherence to contract specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Lead and mentor site managers and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee project budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
Essential Requirements
Longevity with current or recent employer.
Proven track record in managing refurbishment projects within the social housing and education sectors.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
Experience in managing project budgets and financial reporting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).
Desirable Attributes
Experience with Schedule of Rates contracts.
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asta Powerproject).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum.
