Job summary

Abatec Recruitment partners with an established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor to recruit a Contracts Manager in Hemel Hempstead. You will lead the delivery of NEC-based contracts across major utility frameworks, coordinating site teams and commercial staff while maintaining critical client relationships.

You will oversee mobilisation through to completion, ensuring safety, quality and programme adherence, and drive opportunities to improve delivery and profitability across

Qualifications

• Experience delivering NEC contracts and managing contract change, compensation events and commercial risk.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams and manage client relationships.
• Track record of delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects for utility sectors.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for contract delivery, programme, cost and performance.
• Manage project teams including site managers, engineers and commercial staff.
• Work closely with client and supply chain to maintain strong relationships.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, programmes and commercial targets.

Job description

Abatec are working with an established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor who are looking to strengthen their team with a Contracts Manager.

The business has a long-standing track record delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects for major UK utilities and is experiencing continued growth across the regulated water sector.

This role will sit within a major AMP8 water framework, delivering a range of projects across the region including water infrastructure, network improvements and associated civil engineering works.

As Contract Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple clean water projects, overseeing contracts from mobilisation through to completion. A key part of the role will be maintaining and developing strong, client-facing relationships, acting as a senior point of contact and representing the business throughout project delivery.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the client, Project Managers, the Commercial team and support staff to ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially and to programme.

As Contracts Manager you will:

• Taking overall responsibility for contract delivery, programme, cost and performance
• Managing project teams including Site Managers, Engineers and Commercial staff
• Working closely with the client and supply chain to maintain strong relationships
