Job Description

Daniel Owen is proud to partner with a large, growing local authority in South London seeking two Contracts Managers for ongoing temporary roles. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with an aggressive growth plan.

The Contracts Manager will oversee subcontractor, repairs, damp, mould, and void contracts. Working closely with the Head of Repairs, you will manage daily operations and have overall responsibility for subcontractors and their involvement. Social Housing experience is required.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Achieve or exceed budgeted profits while adding value to the property and service portfolio.
  • Manage the development and performance of all contract operations, maintaining relationships.
  • Ensure high standards of service delivery for both directly delivered and subcontracted services.
  • Meet or exceed service level agreements and KPIs; identify opportunities for improvements and expansion.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client representatives and customers; introduce innovative processes for added value and efficiency.
  • Manage subcontractor, D&M, void, and responsive repairs projects.
  • Recruit and develop a team including tradespeople and local contractors capable of refurbishing/re-modeling void properties.
  • Price and program works from drawings, organize labor and materials.
  • Regularly review service delivery performance.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work productively under pressure, act decisively on urgent issues, and maintain high service standards.
  • Experience in Social Housing, Local Authority, or contracting is essential.
