Contracts Manager

Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage cabling schemes across the East of England, including design, project management, on and off-site cable installation, building construction, jointing, switchgear installation, bunding, commissioning, decommissioning, and demolition.
  • Oversee 3 to 4 million turnover projects, with plans to increase to 6 to 10 million, focusing on growth in the cabling workstream with major clients.
  • Plan and program current and future works.
  • Participate in Cost Value Reconciliation.
  • Support the Design Manager in establishing the design programme.
  • Ensure adequate staffing to deliver projects on time.
  • Contribute to estimating and tender processes.
  • Manage projects effectively.
  • Establish and maintain the contract management framework.
Key Interactions

Regular interactions with Contracts Director, Project Managers, Client's Engineers, Site Managers.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of 33kV cabling, primarily outside substations.
  • Experience managing teams of Project Managers and Site Managers, with strong man-management skills.
  • Based within the EPN footprint.
  • Degree or NVQ Level 7 or equivalent qualification.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Work Flexibility

Some work from home is possible; however, most work requires presence at client sites or company offices.
