Where will you be working?
M Group Rail and Aviation
Aviation- Our Aviation team works across a wide range of specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works including major international airports, regional airports and RAF airfields.

Defence and adjacent markets- We manage reactive and planned maintenance and upgrades on defence properties, airfields, military bases, ports, railway infrastructure and depots. Want to come and be a part of it?

What will you be doing?
As a Contracts Manager your purpose will be to take ownership of all projects under your control; from client-liaison & ECI, tender, delivery to close-out and hand-over.

You'll manage a project delivery team, including the line-management of Project Managers, ensuring that they have the correct resources to deliver the works.

You'll also have Commercial ownership of the project and will work closely with the Regional Manager and the Commercial team, to ensure that risks and issues are managed effectively allowing successful project delivery.

It is key that you are able to build effective working relationships quickly with a variety of stakeholders and personalities.

You should be comfortable in a variety of settings, able to adapt to your surroundings. This will enable you to develop relationships with key repeat clients (such as ongoing Frameworks) and have a clear understanding of the forward workload/pipeline to feed into the monthly cost and forecasting cycle.

What You’ll Bring
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including Health, Safety and Sustainability. Stay informed about changes in regulations that may impact operations.

Deliver contracts in line with business objectives, considering available & required resources to maintain safety, quality and reputation.

You will achieve business plan revenue and EBITDA targets for the relevant contracts under your control. Achieve average WIP weeks target and review and report and adapt as necessary.

We want you to collaborate with other Contracts Managers.

You'll oversee the day-to-day operation of contracts to ensure safety, efficiency and effectiveness.

Manage project controls and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement and implement change where required.

Identify and mitigate contract specific risks that may impact the organisation and develop and implement contingency plans to address potential disruptions.

Build and retain client relationships, understand the client's needs, and ensure operational processes align with customer expectations and satisfaction.
