Contracts Manager – Decarbonisation

Oxford | £50,000 + Car Allowance + Fuel Card + Benefits | Full-Time | Permanent

Are you an experienced Contracts Manager with a passion for delivering retrofit or energy efficiency projects? We are looking for a driven professional to take ownership of major decarbonisation and sustainability projects in the Oxford region.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of low-carbon housing, with a focus on delivering high-quality retrofit solutions that improve homes and communities.



Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver retrofit and decarbonisation contracts from start to finish
  • Oversee insulation, low-carbon heating systems, window/door replacements, and ventilation projects
  • Ensure project compliance with health and safety legislation, PAS2030/2035, ECO, and other regulations
  • Prepare programmes of work and manage delivery to time and budget
  • Lead and support site teams, subcontractors, and engineers
  • Build strong relationships with clients, residents, and stakeholders
  • Monitor project quality, compliance, and site performance through regular inspections
  • Work closely with commercial teams to manage budgets and ensure profitability


You’ll bring:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing retrofit, energy efficiency, or construction projects
  • Strong working knowledge of retrofit standards and building regulations
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Manager level), IOSH Managing Safely
  • First Aid at Work certificate (HSE recognised)
  • Proven leadership and project delivery experience
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Retrofit Coordinator/Assessor qualification
  • Experience with M&E systems or low/no carbon heating solutions
  • Knowledge of tools like AutoCAD, Power Project, and Microsoft Office
