Contracts Manager - Drylining & Interior Ceilings

• Location: Colchester (Site Based).
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.
• Salary: 60,000 to 70,000 per annum + package.
• Benefits: Company Car & Fuel Card, Pension Scheme.
• Holiday: 20 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays.

Our client is a well-established and highly respected specialist contractor delivering drylining, suspended ceilings and interior fit out packages across a range of commercial and residential projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in Colchester.

The Role:

As Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple drylining and interior ceiling projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, site teams and subcontractors while maintaining a strong focus on productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing multiple drylining and interior ceiling projects simultaneously with a project value of 1m+.
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
• Leading and supporting Site Managers, Supervisors and subcontract labour teams.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, main contractors and suppliers.
• Monitoring project programmes, resources and performance.
• Managing project risks and resolving site issues efficiently.
• Conducting regular site visits, quality inspections and safety audits.
• Supporting the commercial team with variations, valuations and cost control.
• Attending progress meetings and providing project updates to stakeholders.

What They’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager or Project Manager within drylining, ceilings or interior fit out.
• Strong technical knowledge of drylining systems, suspended ceilings and partitioning.
• Experience managing multiple live construction projects.
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• Good commercial understanding with the ability to protect margins and identify opportunities.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge.
• A Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
