Job description

TAY Recruitment is looking to recruit a Contracts Manager for their client that works with building maintenance and construction projects in the public and private sector primarily on social housing. The Contract Manager will oversee and manage the contractual agreements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various clients. This role is pivotal in ensuring that contracts are negotiated, executed, and monitored efficiently while driving compliance and performance standards.

Duties

Manage the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts to achieve favourable outcomes for the organisation.
Drive compliance with legal requirements and company policies throughout the contract process.
Utilise IT tools, including Outlook, to organise schedules, track contract progress, and manage documentation effectively.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on contract status and address any issues that may arise.
Implement best practices in contract management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members involved in contract management activities.
Requirements

Proven experience in contract management or a related field.
Experience of working within the social Housing would be a benefit
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate negotiations and stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Leadership experience is preferred, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving objectives.
Proficiency in IT applications relevant to contract management processes.
A proactive approach with the ability to drive initiatives forward independently.
