Job summary

Matchtech Group is supporting a high-profile Cyber and Defence programme in Bristol with an accomplished Contracts Manager. This is a 6-month contract with pay up to £55 p/hr Inside IR35 via Umbrella, predominantly onsite.

You will lead governance, negotiate NDAs and Collaboration Agreements, and review contracts while protecting IP. Active SC Clearance is essential, and you will work independently within multidisciplinary teams on complex, mission-critical work.

Qualifications

• Active SC clearance is required.
• Experience in Defence, MOD or National Security environments.
• Strong contracts and commercial management background.
• Experience supporting bids, tenders, and proposals.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support bid and tender activities across Defence programmes.
• Lead commercial and contractual governance activities.
• Develop negotiation strategies and manage contractual risk.
• Review and negotiate NDAs, Teaming and Collaboration Agreements.
• Protect intellectual property and wider commercial interests.
• Support programme and bid teams to manage contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain to manage risk and contract variations.
• Influence key business decisions and governance approvals.

An industry leading defence organisation are looking for an accomplished Contracts Manager to join a high-profile Cyber and Defence programme.

Role: Contracts Manager

Duration: 6-month contract

Pay: Up to £55 p/hr (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)

Location: Bristol (90% onsite requirement)

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting complex bids, protecting commercial interests and managing contractual risk across a diverse portfolio of contracts and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting bid and tender activities across Defence programmes
• Leading commercial and contractual governance activities
• Developing negotiation strategies and managing contractual risk
• Reviewing and negotiating agreements including NDAs, Teaming Agreements and Collaboration Agreements
• Protecting intellectual property and wider commercial interests
• Supporting programme and bid teams to manage contractual obligations and customer commitments
• Working closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to manage risk and contract variations
• Influencing key business decisions and supporting governance approvals

Key Requirements

• Active SC Clearance
• Experience working within Defence, MOD or National Security environments
• Strong contracts and commercial management background
• Experience supporting bids, tenders and proposal activities
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
• Understanding of governance, risk management and contract lifecycle management
• Defence Prime or MOD experience
• Cyber, Technology or Engineering programme exposure
